We really reviewed alot in class today. There are a few definitions that I want students to review a little extra tonight - Please do not stress about studying anything but these circled terms in their book. (investigation, microscope, graduated cylinder, temperature, chart, data table, and bar graph) The biggest challenge about third grade is learning how to properly study material. Students are getting it but it does take lots of practice. Please only review those eight terms.
Tuesday: October 10, 2017: - Reading: Complete Worksheet Highlighted Sections - found in folders. "Essential Question" and "Text to Self". Students have books to use story if need be. - Math: We started Multiplication Drills today! We are currently focusing on the 1's. Students are to complete other side of math timed worksheet. We have three minutes to complete 50 problems. Really focus on that time. - Science: Our first science test is scheduled for Thursday. I do this together with the students. Science tests usually are very challenging so we take this first one as learning curve. We look at the questions we are being asked and I step them through how to study for these types of tests. That is what we will focus on and work on for Thursday.

Write observations in science notebooks. Complete sentences! ** Continue to get books covered - Due by Wednesday 9/13 ((There are six books that need to be covered. Three are large working textbooks (Religion, Math, and Science) and three are smaller workbooks (cursive, English, and Social Studies). Any color/type of contact paper works)) **Rosary Permission Slips - I am still missing a few! Please get those in! ** Special Note From Mrs. Schock: She plans on taking the class outside for Gym tomorrow morning - It is getting chilly in the mornings so please wear Gym sweatshirt if you are someone who gets cold easily!
Friday, September 8, 2017: Happy Weekend! - We got our first spelling words today for Unit 1 - The test is scheduled for next Friday. We will be doing much more work with them next week. They are found under the spelling/vocab tab on the left and also in students notebooks that are being sent home today. -Continue to make sure all books are being covered - Books are expected to be covered by Wednesday Sept. 13th! - Rosary Field Trip Permission forms are due back as soon as possible!

1. Yellow Bag Bio is due Tomorrow! - Remember be creative! 2. Continue to cover books - students are bringing home two at a time unless you tell them or me otherwise that you want more. Books are due to be covered by 9/13! - Other: Coming home tonight is our first field trip form - please return these as soon as possible! (There is no money needed with them) ** - Huge thank you to you rock star parents with all these forms to sign and return! I appreciate you getting them returned in a timely fashion!
Wednesday, September 6, 2017: Happy Second Day of School! 1. Yellow Bag Bio - Continue working on yellow bags! They are due by Friday 9/8! 2. Some students are starting to bring books home to be covered in contact paper. There are five books total to cover. Plan accordingly. If you want the rest of the books to be sent tomorrow please send me an email or have your child tell me tomorrow! If not, I will be sending two books home each night. These books are due to be covered by 9/13. 4. Remember 60th Anniversary Mass tomorrow! - Full uniform and no dress down passes can be used! ** Side Note from the Library - We are in need of any parent volunteers to help with Library time on Wednesdays from 9:10 - 9:55! Tuesday, September 5, 2017: WELCOME BACK! We had a great day!! Homework won't officially begin until next week, but we have some things that need to be completed before then. Parents -
Two forms are going home tonight with students (yellow emergency card and orange communications form). Please get these completed ASAP. . All other forms were sent electronically through powerschool. If you wish to order pretzels for tag days, that form was emailed and needs to be printed out and sent in with payment.

Starting Wednesday, 9/5 students will be bringing home books that need to be covered with contact paper. There are six books that need to be covered. Three are large working textbooks (Religion, Math, and Science) and three are smaller workbooks (cursive, English, and Social Studies). Any color/type of contact paper works. These books are just used frequently and need to be durable. These will be due by 9/13. Students may bring all books home on one night or take them home over the course of the week. It is their choice!
Students will also need ONE XL book sock for our Social Studies textbook. Students - Fill "Yellow Bag Bio" with three-five small items BY Friday 9/8! Students should decorate the bags and truly make them their own!
