# Mrs. Coffield - Mathematics

•  ## UPDATE: After careful consideration, I do not think it is wise to move forward with the Ch. 2 Test this week.  We will push back the Chapter 2 test to Trimester 2.  We have covered other important topics outside of the textbook in T1 such as a fractions unit and a money unit.  The students are making good progress and are gaining confidence each day. The intent was to provide an opportunity to improve overall averages with another test, but at this time I fear that it would be unwise to rush the test given that we are not in school on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Posted on 11/16/2020:  A TEST on decimals, including money, will be given on Thursday, 11/19 and Friday, 11/20 (given no unforeseen delays).  IF we do have the test, no Zoom meetings will be held on those days.

• Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers
• Divide a whole number of up to four digits by a 2-digit whole number using one of various strategies
• Explain the pattern in the placement of the decimal point when multiplying or dividing decimals by powers of 10
