In Religion, we learned about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The students heard about little Martin growing up and what happened in his life that showed him how laws were unfair.
They learned about his mission growing up and his desire to make the world better with freedom and equality for all people.
They listened to part of his "I have a Dream" speech, and how he successfully changed laws to make the United States better for all people.
The class also enjoyed special with Ms. Koval.

In Religion, we made Christmas cards to be sent to soldiers along with their "Stockings for Soldiers" gifts for Christmas.
We talked about the branches of the military (Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, and National Guard) and how they serve to keep us safe, and our freedom safe. We will be continuing our focus on our brave military men and women, and learn about our Military Veteran's, as we approach Veteran's Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11th.
We also created a flock of turkeys for our classroom door, using shapes (circles, squares & triangles).

we started Ch. 15: God Chooses Mary
We had a discussion about God choosing Mary to have his son, Jesus. We also completed coloring activities about how we can help others and show love to others. October is the month we honor Mary with prayers and rosary.
The students enjoyed Music today with Mrs. Wagner.

2. Tomorrow through Thursday, Students may bring in an item that begins with P for Show and Tell
3. Letter Writing Journals were sent home with 4 pages to be completed over the next two weeks: S, s, P, p

In Religion, we spent the time listening to our "We Believe" CD of Religion songs, which the students enjoyed, while coloring a two page display entitled: "God Made Everything".
In the afternoon, the class enjoyed painting pumpkins with Miss Koval.
We also started our Show & Tell presentations. Thank you for helping your child find M items. They love giving clues and presenting what they brought.
