The Technology Committee is a group of parents and school personnel formed by the parish to
help guide the technology in the school. This committee is granted a budget by the school development fund annually, and the group's purpose has been to determine the best uses of these funds. Over the course of the past ten years, the Technology Committee has established the school computer lab, and provided each classroom with PCs and the software necessary to complete each grade's technological goals.
The Technology Committee has set up and configured more than one hundred Dell computers and
provides regular support when necessary. They designed and installed all in-house networking cabling and provided 6Mb cable Ethernet internet connections to the classrooms and computer labs. Currently, all faculty members have e-mail, as well as internet access and current parental controls, web filters, and anti-virus software are maintained on all PCs and the server. Members of the committee also maintain two state-of-the-art Windows servers and back-up systems, etc. In addition, each classroom has Reading Counts access, as well as the support necessary to maintain this program. The school library has its own Windows server dedicated to the Follet software for checking out materials. Finally, the Technology Committee also provides support of the school Audio/Visual, including VCRs, DVDs, projection screens, and Smart Boards.
